A Prayer to Open a Heart

Description

Eheheheheh.
I'm starting to wonder why of all hair colors did I choose purple. =_______=;

I'm not so sure where the concept came from, something about a doll wanting a heart I think...

I dedicate this picture to my .05 Fineliner.
It died just as I finished adding the details on the key....

Your work always has such strong graphic appeal! The different colors really bring out the texture in her hair, as well.

As for the scanner issues... what kind of scanner are you using? And do you know how to get in and tweak the settings? Some go on this annoying auto-fix that tries to "think" for you, and the first part to getting a cleaner art scan is to shut that BS off. =D

The second thing is to set your scan for optimal resolution-- most are automatically tuned to save memory. Third, the file format it saves in helps. .Tiffs print beautifully but are memory hogs. .Bmps are maximum screen resolution but do not print and alter/resize well.

You want to save in one kind of file and convert it to another for your smaller image... and then, if your program allows it, look atthe optimization controls for that file-- i.e. maximum resolution, contrast bumping, missing color removal from file memory on a .jpg.
